Whole New World

When I decided to name this blog "It's a Whole New World" I had no idea how perfect that title was when it came to summarizing my life. The world has seemed completely new since I got where I needed to be with God years and years ago, then when falling in love with Travis, then with us having Carter, and now with a complete lifestyle change and a little girl on the way, tied in with several future life-altering plans, all I can say is "WOW, it's a whole new world.". My brain has been on "overload" for the past few months but God has been so good to me and has allowed me to feel somewhat "laid back" inside my head (perhaps not so much "laid back seeming" to the selected few that get to hear my jumbled thoughts out loud).

Here's just the "Tip of the Iceberg"......

After alot of discussions, my husband persuaded me into a completely organic eating lifestyle.-Oh and not just organic but healthy organic, as in limited sugar, lean meats like only turkey, roast beef, ground sirloin, chicken, shrimp. No organic cupcakes or dessert type stuff. Carter gets animal crackers, yogurt, and/or fruit if he gets a sweet tooth. We have been in "transition" the last 6 weeks and doing a lot of research, reading, and going every week to different venues offering organic groceries. My house is almost completely preservative- artificial- food dye-hormone Free. I think it will be healthier and most definitely could not hurt my sweet babies but it is definitely a transition. Do you know that 90% of the places I take my child, someone offers him candy, gum, snacks, etc... Seriously. Do you know how hard it is to explain to a 2 year old he can't have candy? Do you know the looks I get from people for being so "harsh"?  BUT, it is okay =)  I feel lead to continue this path and no one's opinion will be an obstacle on this path. God's convictions will be the only influence. It's not easy though. Apparently I didn't cook as much as I thought I used to because I feel like I am cooking non-stop in that house and constantly cleaning the kitchen. And how is it men can mess up 6 ft of counter space while making a bagel or sandwich? Bread crumbs everywhere.....
So much planning and prepping to get everything blanced before Lauren arrives. I feel like I have until December to get my life, the office, and my family's lives on a solid routine. Get everything organized as possible. Then baby will be here and I can incorporate the milk pumping and sleepless nights into everything else. It probably sounds like a mess but I can visualize all of it coming together and I am properly motivated. :)

Just to be on the safe side, let's pray I don't lose my sanity.

I think what ya'll are doing is GREAT! I'm trying to eat less junk and you certainly inspire me to eat healthier, I can't imagine the dishes hehe!
I saw this and thought of you getting Carter to eat healthy too.
I know your doing a great job with Carter and healthy food, I just thought sounded like a fun book! :)
I have my good days when I eat well, but I don't think I can give up my homemade bacon dressing :S haha!!
Hope you and baby girl are doing good!
