Be Careful Little Ears what you hear....

When I was in 3rd grade, the girl that sat next to me came in everyday and told me things that were extremely confusing for me to process. The first thing I remember her explaining to me was that she was having a "fair" with a married man, a few days later she came in sat down, looked up at me and said as I recall, "Welp, I'm pregnant and don't want it". I asked her why God put a baby in her belly and she said because she had "Six".....hmm...
After pondering the information for a little while I told her we needed to go tell the teacher and we did.... (Poor teacher)
I went home and my mom cleared things up for me.

I was reminded of this the other night while out to eat with Travis and Carter.
A small child sitting at the other table was explaining to his mom (loudly) that so-and-so dumped him because she was putting up with his blankity blank anymore. I don't know how old he was but it was no more than 10 years old. His mother's response was "Uh-uh, was he cheating?"

I have a CD that my mom bought back when my niece was born. It's a four disc set of the sweetest Bible songs. She bought a set for my niece and an extra set for whenever I had a child. 6 years later, I opened them up and got to use them :o)

I'm excited because I remember Naomi singing these songs and knowing almost every word at the age of 3. It's the most beautiful sound to hear and just one of the sweetest recognitions of the Lord and Saviour.

I have been playing it off and there's a great song on there that talks about how you have to be careful little ears what you hear, little eyes what you see, little hands what you do, little minds what you think, because the Father up above is looking down with love, so be careful little ears what you hear.

It's a wonderful song (DEFINITELY FOR ADULTS AS WELL)

I know "To each their own" but I wish some adults were more careful about what those little ears hear and what those little eyes see.

They deserve to be little for as long as they are little, ya know?

Love this!!! I see kids witnessing too much before their time everyday. Can I tell you that I am excited that there are ladies like you out there...My prayer is that Ella has a mother in law like you one day...who has raised a son....like I know you will raise Carter. :)

I completley agree with you. they grow up to fast- just let them be kids without letting them hear all the grown up stuff too fast.
