Just A Glove....

When it rains, it pours...I have so many prayer requests these days. The list just gets longer and longer. I've had a handful of prayer requests come my way for friends of friends of friends. So many struggles and so much heartache.
I love this song and it has been on my mind after each struggle that has been mentioned to me so I thought I' d share it...

Sometimes I think I’m in control
And I act so foolishly
Facing problems on my own
I don’t know what’s best for me
My mistakes at times disturb
All the plans You have made
Lord keep me in Your will
So I won’t be in Your way

Remind me Lord, I’m just a glove
In which You place Your hand
Not my will but Yours be done
Though I don’t understand
The best laid plans I’ve made
Somehow always go astray
Lord keep me in Your will
So I won’t be in Your way

So put me where You want to
Not where I want to be
If I should ask for things I want
Just give me what I need
When I complain from time to time
Forgive me, Lord I pray
Keep me in Your will
So I won’t be in Your way

Oh, if everyone could just surrender their lives to God and quit relying on the world and all the earthly things to make them happy!

On somewhat of another note...

Another friend of mine called today very upset. she said she couldn't understand why God was punishing her. You may disagree with me, but I cannot for the life of me think of the "negatives" that arise in our lives as God's Punishments. I don't believe we are punished for our sins but by them and sin is from the devil not God. Now, just to clarify, I don't think that every single bad situation we endure is brought on us by our sins. I think of the story of Job and it makes me think that sometimes Satan throws bad things at us and God uses us and our unwaivering faith as an example for a lost soul.
I believe if a person strives to get the closest relationship to God possible that eventually they will realize that they were blaming the Lord and Savior for the obstacles satan had thrown in front of them.
Trials and tribulations make for some very humbling experiences and I think that it is within those experiences that God can and WILL turn those negatives into positives if we take it to him and let his will be our way.
We are not at all perfect so there is ALWAYS room for improvement. We have to strive to close the gaps in our relationship with God. Constantly pray and study and walk in Faith. So No, I don't believe God punishes us. He allows us free will to come to him, depend on him, have Faith in him, he allows us the opportunties to prove our Love for him and in return through his mercy and grace, he proves his Love to us.
